Protective Sticker on your Cell Phone

Okay - the above picture is not something that I found on the internet but I picture that I took - just last night!! The sticker that they give you to protect the screen for your cell phone..........you aren't REALLY supposed to keep that on there. It is just supposed to protect your cell phone during transit. So why is this person still keeping hers on there, when it is already peeling off? Now I will cut some of you a break, and myself...sometimes you can't really tell if there is one on there or not. And I'm sure that I've gone at least a week or two with a new cell phone with a sticker on some part of it. Maybe even over the camera part of my new cell phone - but it is OBVIOUS that there is a sticker on this phone. RIP off the band aid people!! If you are that worried about scratching the cover, buy a case cover!!!

Pool Time

Yes, it is that time of year where people who have pools really wish that they didn't. It's the same old story as everything else, what you have you really don't want - at least you really don't want to have to do all the crap you have to do to take care of it. Everyone who doesn't have a pool wants one and everyone who has one wishes they had someone to take care of it. Like opening in for the season. It's hard to believe that you get something that looks like this when you open it......

And eventually turns into something like this..............

**Please note - typically pools aren't supposed to be opened looking all green and stuff, but we can't ever seem to get the chemicals right when we close it for the season.**

And also - please hold off on your requests to come and swim in my green pool until we can get the temp up to at least 75 degrees...thanks!

Wheelchair Accessible

I now have a great appreciation for the struggles that people have when in wheelchairs. I cannot imagine being in a wheelchair, but I also can understand their frustration when they aren't getting the accomodations that they should be allowed. I have used the wheelchair automatic door, more than once since having a child. Don't judge people - you know that you have done it too! But I typically use it when I have the stroller with me - it's hard to open a door and push a stroller with only two hands. However, what really ticks me off is when you have to walk all the way up to the door and then hurry and get out of the way of it before it hits you. I mean - HELLO people - these are made for handicapped people in wheelchairs - do you really think that they can hurry and get out of the way before the door hits them? And what's with those doors that you are supposed to hit one button and it opens both doors? Does it ever actually open both doors? And what are those handicapped people supposed to do when the other door doesn't open? Get out of their wheelchair and open it themselves??? We need to be more of an advocate for handicapped people and their rights. And for those mother's with young ones in strollers who need to use those automatic doors too!

Dogs and Thunder

So what is it with dogs and being scared of rain and thunder? My dog, Chandler who weighs about 65 lbs is scared to death of thunder. He walks through the house crying, as if I control these things. What is it that he wants me to do? Stop the thunder? As if I have any control over the weather - I WISH! He becomes almost child-like and will lay at my feet in fear that the thunder will come near him.

Another thing that he does that really just confuses me is how he thinks he needs to go out everytime my DD is in her highchair. Every single time. And when I let him out........he sits at the back door and stares at me through the window. Almost every single time. And then when I let him in, he acts like he's been out there forever!

Strange dog....

Wii Fit

So I LOVE the Wii Fit! I had a heck of a time finding one that I didn't have to pay $160 for, but luckily there was one left at Wal-Mart on County Line Road on Monday morning and the manager was nice enough to hold it for an hour for me to come and pick it up. These came out on May 21st and at first I didn't want to spend the money for it, but then I heard all these great reviews and I'm hooked!!

One of the hardest games that I've found is the soccer game. You have to hit these soccer balls with your head and if you get off even by a second then you miss it. Plus you have other things flying at you such as soccer cleats and even a Panda Head?!? It is great fun though and everyone should have one!
